That being the case, you can send him your text messages, and if he doesn't send you one back, Agumon will do his best to reply-if he doesn't destroy the phone with his claws. XD

Whew...! New year, and after weeks of catching up with schoolwork, I can finally say that the Chosen have returned from Mexico! For Agumon and me, it's only a brief stop back home, 'cause we'll be heading out to France with Sora and whoever else she's managed to convince to come along with us to help Catherine.

How's the band holding up, Yamato? Everything gone alright since we've been gone?

Happy 2008, Chosen around the world! Thanks again for the hospitality, Rosa. We enjoyed ourselves a lot in Mexico! XD

Sora, we should see about spending time together before we head out to the City of Love.

We weren't able to get back home in time for Christmas; rumor has it that a possible snowstorm kept all the planes delayed from departing or arriving for the earlier half of this week and it's only now that said snowstorm is finally letting up!

I really wanted to see you on Christmas, Sora. I hope you at least got the message I left on your answering machine.

Distance or not, that didn't stop Hikari and me from calling our parents on Christmas to let them know we were alright, though I think Kaa-san took it harder than all of us that we couldn't celebrate Christmas under one roof again like it had been before I'd first moved out.

To be honest, that also meant we didn't have to walk around Odaiba looking for an open fast-food restaurant! (grins)

On a happier note, Christmas in Mexico was fantastic. Rosa and her family really went all out to make sure we felt like a part of their family, They even had went out sometime during the past month and got us presents!

On a more serious note...we had to miss Christmas, but we can't miss New Year's! It's frustrating to have heard about this Quezcoatlmon or whatever his name is just appearing here and then, when we show up it's like he vanished! Did he go back to the Digital World, or is he just lying in wait for us to leave and then attack?

That's pretty much the main reason why we haven't left, but still...hopefully we'll find something before the New Year.

I was kinda hoping that we would be on our way back home by now, but...

(lol) Kidding; the news would've gotten down here regardless on whether or not Odaiba, not to mention Tokyo, had to evacuate due to a disaster zone.

Daybreak finally revealed itself in Mexico, yet to the leader of the Japanese Chosen, as he felt the sun's rays hitting his face before he forced himself up...it still felt like he was in Japan!

"Then again, it would be tomorrow back home, sometime around the late afternoon, close to dinnertime; Kaa-san would attempt to force-feed us all something she made, Tou-san would agree with it while trying to find a fast food place for us to order from, I'd try to leave the others to their fate while hoping Sora would have something ten times better...until Hikari gave me that look and those eyes she must've seen Sora use on me more than once, which meant I had no choice but to swallow down whatever food poisoning was on my plate!"

Yawning heavily, Taichi shook his thoughts out of his head while focusing on what was the here and now: as much as he, Hikari, Daisuke, Miyako and Ken enjoyed Rosa's company and her family's hospitality, they couldn't stay in Mexico indefinitely. Action had to be taken, and they would have to hunt down Coatlymon and convince the wayward Digimon to return to the Digital World!

Not even bothering to hide a smirk on his face, Taichi pulled out his trusty megaphone-that he'd used during the now-infamous-back-home-in-Japan "Road Brother Rage" incident that involved Hikari, Daisuke and the Hoi brothers from China-and put it up to his lips before speaking in a loud voice:

"ATTENTION CHOSEN CHILDREN: THIS IS YOUR LEADER SPEAKING! IT'S TIME TO GET UP AND CONFRONT THE CONFUSED DIGIMON AT THE TEMPLE, OR WHEREVER HE'S AT! EAT WHAT YOU CAN, 'CAUSE WHEN WE'VE FINISHED, WE'RE HEADING OUT!"

Laughing lightly as he putting the megaphone away, Taichi went to make himself breakfast-and tried to ignore the shouts of annoyance throughout the house as best he could-while mentally thanking himself for remembering to bring his well-purchased item from home.

"If that won't get the others up for our little adventure, I don't know what will!"

We've been here for two, maybe three weeks and nothing has happened. Then again, we haven't found time to actually go to where Rosa said the Digimon was reported at.

I still remember what Hikari said to me...about feeling something ominous...

I want to believe that it's just nothing; that our trip, as amazing as it is, wasn't needed and that the Digimon actually went home of his own free will. Somehow I doubt that's the case. And if it is...if we still have to look out for Rosa's family and the whole of the Mexican community...we'll do our best to protect them! It's not just because we're Chosen, just like Rosa. I think it's because, in some way or another, she's a part of our family. A very, very, very large family of worldwide Chosen.

Koushirou have you come up with an estimate of how many Chosen worldwide there are?!

Anyway...how are things with your band going, Yamato? Sora-anyone else volunteered to go with you to France? Mimi...Odaiba's still in one piece, ne? Jou-hope you enjoyed your birthday. (grins lightly, yawns)

Kidding, Hikari. Seriously though, something strange has been going on-in more ways than one. Hikari mentioned to me not too long ago that she had this ominous feeling about something; she felt this way back home and as much as she tries to hide it, I think she still has that same feeling down here.

Sora - are your parents okay with you going to France? Did I ask you this once already? Being in another time zone is too confusing!

Koushirou, I'm suddenly glad you decided to stay home: try and see if you can get in touch with Gennai and see if anything weird's going on in the Digital World.

Oh, yeah-one last thing. Happy birthday, Jou! Or is it belated? Hmm... Agumon and I are gonna try and see what kind of food they have here in Mexico!

Okay... (pulls out Japanese/Spanish dictionary, flips through it) Um...

I wonder how you say 'I gotta try some tacos' in Spanish...!

Remind me again why a Spanish dictionary was a good idea? I can't make heads or tails with this thing at all! Oh, well-at least Ken knows enough about the language so I can ask him if I get stumped.

The only good thing about heading to Mexico is that this won't be my last post for a while. I'll still be able to log on with my laptop and I'll let Hikari borrow it every now and then to make posts of her own.

Agumon's sleeping at the foot of the bed like usual, except it'll be for the last time this week. Our bags are all packed and everything is set. My parents keep insisting that Hikari and I should expect at least two Christmas presents this year; I might be able to convince them to change their minds if we've gotten back by then. The day of our departure is dwindling ever closer as the days go by. Our schools even know about mine and Hikari's temporary leaving as we managed to convince the higher-ups, thanks to Koushirou, that we needed to take care of projects out of the country.

Just some last pieces of advice before we soar off to where no Chosen has gone before:


Yamato, don't let your commitment to your band overwhelm your commitment as a Chosen. (grins) I left you in charge for a reason, ne?

Koushirou, if you can't get that research to me in time before I head out, send it to my laptop.

Mimi, if you end up confronting an Ultimate Digimon make sure you don't try a one-on-one approach.

Jou, keep everyone here patched up and in good health.

Takeru, don't lose hope. You're the reason why we're still here instead of as key chains.

Daisuke, make sure Jun doesn't try hiding your ticket from you so you'll be forced to stay.

This is the first time in 5 years that I've left home to tour around the world instead of heading to the Digital World. (smiles lightly) Wow.

Yamato...it looks like you'll get to polish your temporary goggles earlier than planned!

I'm not sure if everyone's heard the news, but from what I'm hearing it looks like Digimon are appearing all over the world-again! I'm not even sure how many have shown up yet, but this means one thing: every Chosen has to be on their guard, no matter where you live.

Rosa-me, Hikari, Agumon, Tailmon and the other list of Chosen that I gave you are on our way; we'll get there as soon as we can! Hopefully none of the flights heading to Mexico are cancelled...!

It's a new month and with it comes new challenges; with those new challenges comes a round trip to Mexico to help out fellow Chosen Rosa!

All Chosen-Japanese and/or from somewhere else-who are absolutely, positively dedicated to going to Mexico, let me know now! Sora-I hope you're ready for a weekend filled with fun.

The weekend was going by quicker than Taichi had expected it to, but that didn't phase him from trying to keep his word and head into Odaiba to meet up with Koushirou and Catherine on time.

"How long ago was it that I asked Koushirou to install a Digiport into my laptop for me? Too long, otherwise I would remember the month and remind him of it!"

Though for some strange reason, while making his way toward Odaiba he felt a sudden chill down his back that didn't have anything to do with the weather. And after getting that chill, he was reminded of certain incidents he'd caused-intentionally or unintentionally-that had created a schism in his relationship with Sora. Gulping a bit, he quickly dialed Sora's cell phone and invited her to join him in Odaiba as soon as she could.

"First Anna and now Catherine; I need to find some way to engrave the words 'Sora's boyfriend' into my skin that wouldn't cause physical damage to my body!"

And that's when it hit Taichi like a ton of bricks...!

"Koushirou never told me where in Odaiba to meet him!"

It doesn't seem like it was that long ago, and yet it was...The first time I saw a snowflake in the middle of summer from out of nowhere which led us to our destiny. (That what you'd call it?)

What time's the celebration? Hikari and I need to know so we aren't late!

We have three days left until our 8 year anniversary, Chosen! (At least the Japanese Chosen)

Mimi suggested a party, Jou said that we should do something to commemorate, and I...kinda agree with both of 'em. We should do something, but if anyone else has ideas on what to do or what to bring don't hesitate to toss your hat (or your goggles) on the table! XD

What should I bring? Can't risk anything Kaa-san might make since that'd be life-threatening for everyone, Chosen and Digimon alike...!

Everyone, keep an eye on your calendars! We're only six days away from an historic event that took place about...8 years ago.
